Cyanotype Results

Well, the results are in, and I’m really happy with this light set up.

For this first set of prints under these lights, I used a few different botanicals. The first two were dried, one from Michaels and the other from a flower arrangement I was given several years ago. The other two are from my yard: a weed and a small fern.

Here are my results on paper with 10-minute exposure. I should have ironed the paper, but wanted to get this post out. If you look at this first one you see some pink on the leaves. That is from the Raspberry Marabu Fashion Spray. I sprayed the paper, laid down the ferns, covered with glass and turned on the lights. I’ve used them with fabric in this previous post, and wanted to see how it would turn out on paper. I like it, and plan to use it on both fabric and paper in the future.

Now to the fabric. As I mentioned last post, I determined that 14 minutes was the proper exposure for my fabric.

I’m real happy with these first attempts with the lights. I’ll definitely try sun printing and Solar Fast.

What do you think? Thanks for dropping by.
